There Must Be More/I Need To Re-evaluate What I Am Doing/Why I Am Doing It

In order to be clear about the optimal path forward for you it is really important to understand what might be the key problem/challenge facing you. If you have not already done so, answer the following questions:

There always is ‘more’ and more might never be ‘enough’ without a clear sense of personal mission with which you can evaluate and re-evaluate how ‘well’ you are doing. In the interim, try and have a clear understanding of your work environment, what is and is not working for you.

1. How are you feeling exactly?

i) Bored.
ii) Ignored/Frustrated.
iii) Under appreciated.
iv) Tired.
v) Lost.

2. How long have you been feeling this way?

3. What happened? What was the event that caused you to feel this way? Could it be your boss, your client, the leadership, your colleagues or the organization that is making you feel the way you do?

4. Is it the specific job you have that is causing you to feel the way you feel?

5. Could you find a different role in the same organization?

6. Do you like aspects of the work you do? What are they?

7. Have you tried explaining your feelings to others in the company? Who?

8. Do you believe that if you are a valued staff member and people with ‘influence’
know how you feel, they will try to help you?

9. If you are frustrated with your immediate team, is it possible to work with another
team?

10. If you are frustrated with your boss, have you spoken with him/her or HR?

11. If you are frustrated with the organization, is it likely to change in a substantive way
and in a timeframe that makes sense to you?
